They are such real people,
Everyone knows that,
We can all tell.
Just those that fight the truth,
Leave me confused,
Without any recourse.
I feel like I don’t know how to answer,
Those questions about reality.
I listened to them speak,
So briefly, yet so poignant,
In a world where we haven’t heard
An honest appraisal of the lives we live.
My anger is my inability
To get past the blatant ignorance,
That combination of mistruths
And imagined egos,
All bent on tearing our moral compass
Apart, and flailing screams that will last forever
If somehow we can’t really get back to
Thanking people for honest words.
They’re not meant to outdo one another.
Actually, only meant to accentuate,
love.
