Funny how a line puts you in an immediate frame of mind.

Remembering that kindness can be so freeing.

Despite all the messed up shit we’ve grown to know,

We still might be able to find some peace again.

There are many times in life we try to put aside,

But the reality will always remain.

It’s all the shame we wish we could leave behind us,

While the guilt will always remain.

I heard the words tonight at a concert with a friend,
