I’m Moving Back In

I’m moving back in.

This place I lived for years, solely

Navigating through my pain, my adjustment

To life in a different realm than I recall.

I waited in here for the length of days,

Never really stepping off,

Always replaying the morbid mood,

The ugliness of coming to terms.

~

Today, my motives are clear, I’m able

To examine the adventure of my way.

If I could just live this way every day,

I do think somehow the blues would

Change to the spectrum of color

That represents our lives.

Each shade an opportunity to find an

Identity that allows our mind to bathe.

~

With every waking moment less the pain,

Draws closer the reality of love we might gain.

    1. Ah, to suggest it would be the literal sense, I don’t mean to disappoint – my moving in is a metaphor for my state of mind. Thank you for your positive interpretation.
