There’s a reason we save things
sometimes we forget.
Years later, they become a thought,
oh, if we might only remember,
there could be moments, reminders,
post-its with amorous words
pictures, showing a togetherness,
clippings of letters and frames,
holding eyes looking at each other
memories we might remember.
A memory case could hold fortunes,
Things meant never be thrown away,
in the hands of another no worth
only the hands of whom may matter.
If I could hold a memory case in my hands,
I wish that you might hold it with me.
