And Then, Bastille

We do celebrate with energy,

the fireworks, the gala gatherings,

friends and lovers and anyone who knows,

this is our day,

we do relish the ability to step away

inside a fantasy of wonder in peace

Yet now we have become the other,

in a long list of terrible realities,

we are now numbered together,

with everyone in the world,

whose compassion and zest for life

become triggered by this insanity.

Tonight’s white menace from hell,

drove us down like dogs,

what is it it creates a world suggests,

everyone deserves nothing more,

only death,

just that fatal error.

When morning began, who knew, who could imagine,

who wanted to experience Evil at the hands of Man.
