An Ordinary Day
I woke to the sounds of birds in the forest
Chimes, soft coos, gave me morning solace.
I linger in bed imagine rewards of rest
While around me the world begin its race.
The warning signs, alerts far different
Natural surroundings of wilderness
A cry in the wood mean beauty apparent
In here no concern of humane duress.
Though they too, the sounds must survive
Watchful eyes to recognize their stature
In the scheme of the wild, how do we thrive
Constancy a source of energy, is true nature
I woke sweet to the sounds of the forest today
Wondered if I might always survive this way.
Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
