I walked home today,
decades later,
I recalled a moment, a time, a nostalgic
memory.
I see the hallways, those dark places,
I stood alone,
the masses moving by,
I wanted to jump in be a part of
the movement,
I was always afraid, of not knowing where I would end up.
I found someone on my path today,
he was crying,
visibly,
not a man to allow emotion to unravel
his secure state of mind.
Today though, he felt real,
more in touch with his fear than he imagined
ever might occur again,
Today, we walked the halls,
together.
