Christmas Poem

Waking in the morning with trepidation,

it’s a day I’ve come to struggle with.

Though a day of pomp and circumstance,

with welcome reminders of time.

I’m conscious not to dive so deep into blue,

just trying to answer an internal angst.

Something beautiful does happen

today when families gather to share.

We haven’t a need to be alone,

somewhere, someplace, someone,

waits in a solitary state of mind.

It’s Christmas time and we celebrate

having found peace in our lives.

I’ll honor the day with patronage,

then wish everyone their own peace,

a warmth that carries love forward,

so that heart and soul may live again.

Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
