Well, they’ve arrived in their masks and brutality,

remember long before this hour, our city

was labeled with ugliness and rumors of violence.

People did protest, they burned buildings

all in response to the gruesome taking of a life.

George Floyd now seems a distant memory,

as ICE now invades our neighborhoods.
