The State of Our Mind

We witness the fall of our nation,

Every news report,

Even the silence alone is telling.

It’s that quiet confusion,

Always evades reasonable truths,

And runs us into the ground.

There’s a faction of desperation

Seems impossible to address,

Maybe it’s about comprehension.

So many street corners,

Holding onto anxious eyes.

We see them everyday,

And their lives are disappearing.

What happens when a society

Begins to unravel and feel alone.

Somewhere waiting is our kindness.

We are imploring love to prevail.

Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
