I’m waiting for my oven to preheat so I can bake my lasagna. Seems having a good meal over the news was always a family tradition and there is so much to be shared over the last week. I can’t wait to have a hot meal and watch the nation’s priorities go to shit.
Last week Stephen Colbert’s late night talk show was canceled. It came as a big surprise to anyone that cared about his spot-on monologues and acerbic humor that kept our political society on it’s toes. Many longtime productions have been shut down because they became too loud with the issues – Smother’s Brothers comes to mind. This show is no exception given Colbert’s recent criticism of CBS’ $16 million dollar settlement with 47 over the Kamala Harris, 60 Minutes interview.
This week, 47 is allegedly responsible for an AI rendition of former president Barack Obama being arrested and handcuffed. Oh how the MAGA crowd must have had a good laugh over that toxicity. However, 47 didn’t get canceled. Ironic.
And today, 47 ordered the release of MLK’s sealed documents of the investigation over his assassination, despite the King family’s objections. The concern from the family is that personal archives of MLK’s life would be revealed in the release. They only wish to preserve his dignity, rightfully so.
All this under the blatantly obvious hand of our POTUS. I’m purposely not going to name him, and stick with 47 to identify him.
Ok, well my lasagna is done – time to settle in to a good meal and some disparaging news.
Oh yeah, I forgot all about Epstein.
Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
