We’ve been waiting for days,

we all knew the outcome, just

chose to ignore the reality.

It’s rather impossible right now

to imagine any goodness in our

lives overcoming such peril.

Another barrage,

another posturing point of reference,

another seemingly moment in hell.

I woke up today looking for good news,

something to help ease the pain. 

I chose to not turn on my television.

Seems life will be what it is,

we only need to find a ticket out,

build upon it, set our society free.
