People Might Remember

A summer’s eve,

sun setting with natural pastels,

the ore ship like a still life

moving silent along the canal.

It felt like we could paint it

right there in its sudden vision.

In that moment life is simple,

the  glory of a grand idea

to one day cross the water

with a buoyant presence,

the naked eye spectacular.

We would watch this unfold,

while lounging in the outdoor

diner where memories made

gave us liberty to wonder,

a mystique we could feel.

Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
