This just isn’t simple

this trial of justice,

this accentuate risk,

this shadow and error.

In the morning I read

about a cabinet meeting,

the guest speaker spoke

with rampant hypocrisy.

Take a look at the cabinet,

all their stolid expressions.

How can they possibly

back themselves up?

When all that remains

is a corner to lean on.

This pattern of angst

barely scraping the service.
