Seems tomorrow will be upon us,

That day we celebrate our love.

There’s a lot of resentment around,

A lot of lost promise and fear.

We bathe in new horizons these days,

Not a hearts and candies sort of mood.

The society that we’ve grown to know,

Has been set aside for a bit of time.

More likely, mowed over than eased,

We’re struggling to know our why’s.

Instead it’s hit and miss and aim,

It seems the now is out of our hands.

So how do we walk away from it all,

How can we just let the years fly?

They came upon us pretty quickly,

And now, here we are, we screamed.

Didn’t think it could happen again,

Though a lot of our silence knew it would.

Late night moonlight has suggested a

Lovely reprieve, peace of mind in view.

So buy your flowers and some chocolates,

Let the lovely world we know let us breathe.
