It’s what matters more than anything at all,

That moment when we wish far ahead

Of ourselves, the definition of our lives.

When realizing we move quickly in a day.

Thoughts are like a living roller coaster,

A safe ride but generally scary drops and rising

With a forever pattern, holding strong to fear.

Within our lives there are always destinations,

Some we aren’t aware of yet, others just waiting.

Once in awhile I’d like to think I know the answer,

And just then another obscurity rises toward me.

Every day of our lives, provides opportunity,

We can sometimes embrace the tasks ahead,

sometimes watching reflections in the sunset.
