Two

A somber occasion has passed.

Imagine the visits we did make,

Wishing the tension might not last.

At least this time could we take

Solace in knowing our lives matter

Playing with consistency’s sake

Holding pace with sweet banter.

We walked outside in the chilly air

Realizing time might always occupy

That steadfast desire to only declare

A silence to all the incessant why.

What’s next we say in a calendar year?

Pass unto others how we lessen fear.

Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
