Forever, Once Again

I’ve glanced in silence most of the day,

Radio songs reminding me of time

Already lived, already experienced.

Today is a notable passage in time,

One with truths hidden inside love.

Tonight, I’ve listened to the quiet,

Only waiting for some interruption.

Perhaps an indication of life

As we might wish it be for a day.

It’s Christmas Eve in the city

And I while it away alone, my puppy

Nearby clueless to my self absorption,

Yet, soft eyes, she is all about love.

I’ve heard all of my songs tonight,

Maybe a couple missing, though

The ones I need to hear already play,

And now I’m just waiting for that moment.

Sweet memories waterfall my feelings

As I wait seemingly in a cascade once again.

Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
