Among Children

I am a teacher

first and foremost

far be it that I become a friend.

Their lives are sweet

getting started

we cannot ignore that they have heart.

I wonder often

about my childhood

yet today I am sharing time with them.

They’re moving quickly

trying to blend in

when truly we shan’t limit their release.

when glancing the eyes of our children.
