The memory that is you today

Is all I can hold onto while I continue

Slowly along my way

I wonder if for only a few

Moments might familiar airs have allowances

I’m told no, that without pain

There can be no real discovery

Today I watched hearts break

I witnessed eyes water offering cleansed souls

An opportunity to walk aside Grace

A possibility allows our worlds to cross paths

We heal while waiting for answers

Hoping that God may watch over us

Today we recognized we faltered along the way

Now He could make a choice and deny

A world that shares tears and supports shoulders

Today we said good-bye and listed Time

As our balladeer of travel toward the heavens

We do know love today in the hearts of many
