Darkness Streams

Wide awake

Alert

Alone amongst a few

Keeping self driven fears

Safely tucked away

Only a smile

Results in the exterior

That which you may see

Or the self might allow

~

If life did exist sans eyes

How might a sound

Translate a motion

Crawl deep inside a pool

Hide amongst the rocks and crags

Torn away and sanded

Chiseled and patterned

By life’s blood

Rolling gently always a purpose

~

So then why does the heart

Cry when life becomes

An unbalanced pendulum

That swings in directions

Assuredly unknown to frighten

An energy that shuts down

A moment of clarity

Uneven parallels to life’s stream

~

If today we could suggest a way

To let go of baggage

Sticks underneath the surface

Sharp edged and lethal

An occasional drift of oxygen that

When breath returns makes one

Wonder about the possibility

Withstand the torture to

Recognize peace avails

~

Give faith so say the experience of true darkness

May realize the stream of life holds forgiveness

Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
