Winter’s Ice

I called for you

In the spirit of night sky

The sleek hollow of winter’s ice

I will reach for you

Tracing the miles of native’s trails

Searching now the skeleton’s tales

Seeking the fire of a true feeding

What callous shelter prevents my mortal being

The ancestral opportunity to know you

Touch, feel, embrace your spirit

In bones, and ritual and love

All forever hopes of resurrection

Kindling a fire, a spark

Beauty and grace and elegance

My heart pleads to know your true self resonates

For Nature’s winds and ice and snow

The frozen preservation in ashes

Feed my wandering soul your cries, your essence.

Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
