Happens so fast
Walking casually through a forest
A parting of brush and leaves
Inviting
With mystique
If a walk inside this path occurs
Everything left behind might disappear
That is if our soul decides upon that encounter
~
We can manage familiar scenes
Strolling along managed arteries
Sights we have enjoyed
Fresh vistas safely arousing passions
Yet choosing new grounds
Disconcerting to that normalcy
Way of life that speaks to a numbing
Sedentary lifestyle begs of calloused hands
~
Wondering about that loss
Was our continuity that special?
If departures bring upon our lives
New cathartic journeys
Perhaps then might we be at peace
Yet instead a fear
Will always arise if my surreal mind
Does battle with a fragile soul
~
Let the woods that beckon my frightened humanity
Allow my heart to seek anew a spiritually driven soul
