Here I will focus the writing on poetry and commentary.

She was that woman with green rain boots

Fitting with long trench coat – stylish tones

Hair flowing in an autumn afternoon

She said to me

‘I think the two of you might … ‘

I thought I might just watch her elegance

Move across the street going somewhere

Certainly without me in mind … yet?

~

She was sweet in her silence

Walking and knowing I was there

I wondered if she noticed me

Sitting across the room

Paging through magazine covers

Legs polite and refined

Eyes with an occasional glance

Until stealing away into the stacks

~

She was perhaps awaiting me

As my world discovered her groove

In a cubicle later in the night

I stumbled across her world and smiled

Yet she waited and let me speak

For now it was I that desired purpose

Questions asked and short response

Walking together years afterward

~

She was you were I am we could

Have continued our delightful journey

The two of us exploring life as a couple

Imagining travels in our wagon – a volvo

Silly to think we drove around all day

Returning to the lot well after closing

Having lived out our fantasy of travel

Wishing somehow we might well, know

~

She was that woman with lovely straight hair and green rain boots

I thought I might love her one day walking; again while thinking today …
