Here I will focus the writing on poetry and commentary.

We are here again
A community of confusion
Wondering (wandering) souls
At the mercy of killing’s gluttony
Human sacrifice
That clearly doesn’t know
Just
When
The next bomb will drop
Without hesitation, with justified
Accuracy upon our
Neighbors
~
We go about our business
As capitalist commoners
Wishing to take sides that
Land in agreement with our
Close friends we fail to know
Yet our worlds haven’t collided really
Perhaps we didn’t say hello at the local
Super market
~
The Constitution is once again being tossed about
Like a decree of justice
People are dying
State fairs are ending
The sun is rising
The moon is filling over everyone’s bedroom window
We are still eating and sleeping
Like everyone else’s
Neighbors
~
Young children are saying good-bye
To moms and dads as school begins
The main focus is learning
Yet while we fill our minds
With books, and verbs and historical
Standards
Ships are standing at bay
Troops moving forward
Readying a new dawn
With our future moms and dads
~
Shock and awe seems to salivate as a result
A sensual air of electricity can toss a body
Across the room without warning
We each react to our world in a different manner
Husband, brother, cousin, wife, mom, pastor, God
Imagine the impact of a chemical bomb
Reigning down upon our naïve
Neighbors
