The Rains

Soft settling mourning sounds

Dawn’s awakening exploded aloud

~

Reminded of a walk, that day in clogs

Around the lake, baying and yelping dogs

~

We ran for shelter under lazy trees

Realizing the rains in a gentle breeze

~

I knew this neighborhood, I said

Fears of the pouring water, now shed

~

Our stroll turned to splashing steps

The rain’s taps became natural reps

~

We would soak through in short minutes

Yet the journey today spoke no limits

~

We laughed and cried our eyes along the way

Realizing the beauty and grace of Nature’s way

~

Today, I walked in rain and felt its glance

And recognized there is a certain romance

~

That plays our hearts in an innocent manner

Allows our souls to awaken and find center

~

Recall the warm essence of your homemade broth

Cups held close while removing soaked, damp cloth …

~

Ah, there then is the mystique of God’s wonder

Sweet love reign in and melt away sky’s thunder

Please I would love you to share words, suggestions …
